A CLEARER

Does thermal imaging need a light source?
Thermal imaging detects infrared radiation emitted by objects. It can reveal temperature differences in complete darkness without a visible light source.
Which device works with a smartphone?
The X2 is a phone-mounted thermal module. The ROVER R1+ and DV200 are all-in-one devices with their own displays. Confirm phone compatibility and package contents before ordering.
What does detection range mean?
Detecting a heat source is different from recognizing or identifying it. Actual distance varies with target size, temperature contrast, weather, terrain and obstructions.
Can thermal imaging see through solid objects?
No. Thermal imaging does not see through walls, thick vegetation or other solid barriers. A clear line of sight and the surrounding conditions affect what you can observe.
